TASTING NOTES
Wanting to meet a celebrity is a perfectly natural desire.
Them wanting to meet you is... less common. (We're still waiting for Drake to return our DM.)
Meet Hambela a Great Taste award winning coffee, known for notes of zesty limes and succulent peaches that dance gracefully on your palate.
Delve deeper, the richness of milk chocolate and the smooth, creamy essence of vanilla unfold, wrapping you in a comforting embrace. The subtle hint of coconut adds a tropical whisper with every sip.
Delicate layers of florals weave through the experience, leaving behind a bouquet that lingers gently. This coffee is harmonious, a delicate balance of bright, fruity notes and rich, comforting undertones that elevate your senses and awaken your spirit.
BEHIND THE CUP
In 1934, Muluemebet Emiru became Africas' first female pilot. For her bravery, Emperor Haile Selassie awarded her farmlands lush with wild coffee trees in the Harar and Sidamo regions of Ethiopia.
With help from her family, she transformed the Harar farmlands into a private coffee estate.
In those early days, a deep family connection to the land was forged, and decades later, that tradition still continues today by her grandson Aman.
Hambela is a forward-looking farm with a holistic approach that extends from farming practices to its workers, for whom housing and healthcare are provided. This people-centric approach is a major factor we like that contributes to this naturally processed cup.
Grown at an altitude of 1,950M – 2,250M, the soil type, the climate, and most importantly, the Ethiopian heirloom cultivars they selected for the farm has made their coffee so unique. It's something you really need to experience for yourself.
Hambela is a farm that Aman is passionate about. The proof is in the cup. While there are so many excellent coffees in Ethiopia, there is only one Hambela. Discerning coffee lovers will taste the difference.
